Robotics Engineering Intern

At AETHER, you’ll be working to help develop and implement innovative and state-of-the-art robotic systems. You will assist to strengthen the RSAF’s technological capabilities and resilience in advanced areas of Autonomous Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Software Development.
Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a diploma in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
- Experience in Robot Operating System (ROS), C++ and Python.
- Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing, subnetting).
- Highly adaptable, independent and self-motivated to learn and solve complex problems in a multi-disciplined environment.
- Excellent team player and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- + Knowledge on artificial intelligence, specifically on reinforcement learning and its applications in robotics.
- + Experience with autonomous navigation concepts and frameworks, such as transforms and navigation stacks in ROS.
- + Experience working with RGBD cameras, mmWave and/or LiDAR.
- + Familiarity with version control systems like Git, use and modification of open-source software.
- + Willingness to explore distributed computing systems.
